Former Coastal Carolina  fullback Mike Tolbert ran for 103 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown for San Diego in the Chargers 36-14 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. Tolbert also caught two passes for 15 yards. He is now tied for second in the NFL with nine rushing TD's. It is the second straight week he has run for more than 100 yards and the third time this season that he has cracked the century mark. Big Mike has scored in six of the Chargers last seven games. He's been filling in for Ryan Mathews who is sidelined with an ankle injury. But there is speculation that Tolbert may keep the starting job even after Mathews returns. Another amazing stat is that Tolbert has lost only two fumbles with 156 touches, which includes both carries and receptions. In college, Tolbert never lost a fumble in 303 carries during his career at Coastal Carolina.

Tolbert's teammate at both Coastal Carolina and with the San Diego Chargers, Quinton Teal, made two tackles on special teams on Sunday night against the Colts.

Still another ex-Coastal Carolina star, quarterback Tyler Thigpen had one carry for eight yards for Miami in the Dolphins 33-17 win at Oakland.

Lawrence Timmons led the Pittsburgh defense with 8 tackles including six solo stops and two passes defended in the Steelers 19-16 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. Timmons, a product of Wilson High in Florence, won the WPDE Zoneman Trophy in 2003.

Lamar High product John Abraham had four tackles and one sack for Atlanta in the Falcons 20-17 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Justin Durant out of Wilson High made 7 tackles for Jacksonville with two passes defended in the Jaguars 24-20 loss to the New York Giants.

Robert Ayers from Marlboro County High in Bennettsville made two tackles for Denver in the Broncos 36-33 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Albert Haynesworth out of Hartsville High made one tackle including one-half sack and two quarterback hits for Washington in the Redskins 17-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Robert Geathers, Jr. out of Carvers Bay High had one tackle for Cincinnati in the Bengals 26-10 loss to the New York Jets on Thanksgiving Day.

Anthony Waters out of Lake View High had one tackle for New Orleans in the Saints 30-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
