The Waccamaw Warriors have taken the early lead in the 2010/11 WPDE Zone Cup, awarded to the top local high school for overall performance in high school sports.  Waccamaw won the 2A girls tennis state championship over the weekend against Emerald to get 100 points.  Green Sea-Floyds picked up 75 points for finishing 2nd in the 1A girls tennis title match.  The Johnsonville Flashes have a pair of state semifinal appearances in girls tennis and volleyball to place second.

Every varsity sport is counted towards the Zone Cup Standings.  Waccamaw has won four of the last five Zone Cup championships.  Click on the link below to see where your hometown school stands.
