Two-time WPDE Zoneman winner Everett Golson of Myrtle Beach marched into the Seahawks weight room for the big announcement on Friday afternoon.  The quarterback gave a verbal commitment to the North Carolina Tar Heels, committing 363 days before Signing Day 2011.

Golson was the area's passing leader completing nearly 63 percent of his passes for more than 35-hundred yards and 47 TD's while throwing just 3 interceptons.  Golson led Myrtle Beach to a 3A state championship in 2008 and a state title appearance in 2009.  With one year left in his high school career golson just wanted to put an end to the recruiting process.

Golson will not only play football for the Tar Heels,  he will try to pull off a rare double while playing for Roy Williams' North Carolina basketball team.  Golson had dozens of major offers including Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Virginia Tech as well as Clemson and South Carolina.
