UPDATE

Firefighters responded to a two story home on Highway 90 near Conway just before 6:30 p.m. Friday.

When they arrived on scene, a firefighter reported seeing flames shooting from the roof.

Firefighters say two people were in the home at the time of the fire, and they were able to escape without injury. However, their cats are still missing.

The fire started in the chimney, Horry County Fire Rescue spokeswoman Leslie Yancey said Monday.
