For the first time since 2006, the Kentucky Wildcats have swept a college baseball series from the South Carolina Gamecocks. Kentucky broke a 3-all tie in the 6th with a three run outburst. Michael Williams plated two runs with a base hit to put the Wildcats ahead to stay. Kentucky now has a record of 21-0, including a 3-0 start to their SEC schedule. The Gamecocks fall to 15-4 and 0-3 in the SEC. Conway native Colby Holmes started for the Gamecocks. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, allowed just four hits and three runs. He left with the game tied and did not get the decision.

The Clemson Tigers swept a three game ACC series from Boston College with a 5-1 victory at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Sunday. Clemson scored all five of its runs in the third inning. Tigers designated hitter Joe Costigan keyed the rally with a two-run single. Clemson improves their overall record to 9-8, 3-3 in the ACC.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have won six in a row. The Chants beat Alabama-Birmingham 7-0 on Sunday at Watson Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. Daniel Bowman broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. CCU pitchers Austin Wallace, Devin Bradley and Woody Nisbet combined on a four-hit shutout. Coastal Carolina now has an overall record of 13-6.
