The #8 South Carolina Gamecocks completed a three game sweep against the Auburn Tigers with an 11-7 victory on Sunday at Plainsman Park, before a crowd of 2,747 in Auburn, Alabama on Sunday.

Freshman left fielder Tanner English from Murrells Inlet was the Gamecocks top hitter going 4-for-5 at the plate. He also scored a run and had an RBI.

Conway High product Colby Holmes (6-0) tossed five innings for South Carolina. The junior right-hander allowed four runs on nine hits in five innings of work. He tied a career high with seven strikeouts.

Erik Payne got the Gamecocks going in the first inning with a three-run homer during a four run frame. South Carolina never trailed. The Gamecocks record is now 30-11 overall, 11-7 in the SEC.
