The Kingstree girls basketball team won a playoff game the night after their coach was killed in a car accident in Williamsburg County.

The Kingstree Lady Jaguars defeated the Lake City Lady Panthers 57-44 in the 2A State quarterfinals game.

Their coach, Sonya Burgess, was killed in a car crash Monday night in the Cades community of Williamsburg County.

Theotis Faison is the interim coach of the Lady Jaguars.
