The Department of Natural Resources has suspended its search for a missing boater, Michael Shelley, 55, in Mullins.

Shelley is believed to have been in boat that overturned in the Little Pee Dee River off Highway 917 Friday morning.

Dive teams and rescue crews spent three days searching in and around the river but weren't able to find him.

"We exhausted all places we thought we could look," said Sandy Young, with the Department of Natural Resources.

DNR will continue to take a boat ride each day and search the surface of the water, and, if weather permits, they'll use a helicopter to search from the air.
