The Liberty Flames eliminated the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in round one of the Big South Conference Basketball Tournament 78-61, before a crowd of 3,266 at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina on Tuesday night.

Davon Marshall led Liberty with a game-high 28 points as the Flames pulled away in the second half, thanks to a 20-2 run. Marshall hit 5-of-7 shots from three-point range. Liberty hit a sizzling 9-of-20 shots from beyond the arc. Coastal Carolina hit just one of 16 three-pointers.

Anthony Raffa scored a team-high 23 points for Coastal Carolina in his final college game. The Chants went cold in the second half, hitting just 8-of-28 shots from the field, a 28.6 percent clip.

It was also the final college game for CCU's Kierre Greenwood. He finished with 19 points. Michel Enanga led the Chants with 11 rebounds.

Coastal Carolina finished the season with a record of 14-15.

Liberty (12-20) advances to play High Point in round two on Thursday.
