David Bennett has accepted the offer to become the first Athletics Director and Head Football Coach at River Bluff High in Lexington, South Carolina.
Bennett is the current Athletics Director and a Guidance Counselor at Socastee High. He will finish the school year at Socastee before moving to River Bluff High, which is still under construction, and scheduled to open this fall.
The former Coastal Carolina Head Football Coach was approved to be hired at River Bluff on December 18 by the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees.
The 51-year old native of Greer, South Carolina has 25 years of educational experience. His overall college coaching record at Catawba and Coastal Carolina is 126-56.
