Five local teams reach state championship on the diamond

Five local teams scored Friday wins in the Lower State Finals to reach the state championship in high school baseball and softball. The Lamar baseball team and Dillon softball squad scored two wins on the road to advance. The best of three state championship series begins on Monday. CarolinaLive.com will post state championship matchups this weekend.
