Coastal Carolina used a dominant second half to pull away to a 61-43 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday night at the HTC Center.  The Chanticleers improve to 7-6 and 2-0 in Big South play.  Kierre Greenwood scored his 1000th career point on a free throw, but the Blue Hose led the Chants for a nine minute chunk in the first half, but Anthony Raffa came through with a three pointer with one second to go to give the Chanticleers a 22-21 halftime lead.  It was the second straight game the senior guard ended the first half with a three pointer.  On Saturday at Longwood, Raffa heaved a shot from just inside half court that made ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10.

CCU took control in the second half as Badou Diagne scored the first five points.  A Khalid Mutakabbir three pointer got PC within 2 at 31-29, but Coastal put together an 18-4 run sparked by El Hadji Ndieguene, who had 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead CCU in scoring.  Raffa has 12, Greenwood 11 and Diagne had 10 to round out Chants in double digits.  Jordan Downing, a transfer from Davidson, led all scorers with 19 for the Blue Hose.

Coastal is now 7-6, 2-0 in Big South play and head on the road to face the Liberty Flames.  Tip off is set for 6pm in Lynchburg, Virginia.  WPDE Sports is your home for the Cliff Ellis Show. Join Coach Ellis and WPDE Sports Director Rich Chrampanis this Sunday at noon with a full breakdown of the Liberty and PC game as well as a look at CCU hoops featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 over the years and Chants Corner with freshman forward Tristian Curtis.
