ND tops BCS, Bama 2nd, Georgia 3rd

Notre Dame's Everett Golson and the Fighting Irish are #1.

Notre Dame is the new number one both major college football polls. After Kansas State and Oregon lost on Saturday, the 11-0 Fighting Irish, led by quarterback Everett Golson, a former Myrtle Beach High standout, are number one in both the Associated Press and Coaches Polls.

Notre Dame also number one in the BCS Standings. Alabama is second, followed by Georgia, Florida and Oregon. Clemson is #11 in the latest BCS, South Carolina is #12.
