Conway High quarterback Mykal Moody is one of five finalists for the 2012 South Carolina Mr. Football Award. The other four finalists are Akia Booker from Byrnes, T.L. Hanna's Ben Boulware, Darius Hammond from Strom Thurmond and Tramel Terry of Goose Creek.

Moody was a finalist for WPDE's Zoneman Trophy as a junior in 2011. He finished second in the balloting. This year, Moody has completed 104 of 161 passes for 1,543 yards and 21 touchdowns. He has thrown only five interceptions. He also carried the ball 194 times for 813 yards and 15 TD's.

Moody is a Division I prospect with offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky and NC State.  He is also going to represent South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl.  The Mr. Football winner will be announced on December 7 at Myrtle Beach High auditorium.
