Coastal Carolina has released its depth chart leading up to its 2012 opener against North Carolina A&T. Former Big South defensive player of the year Andrae Jacobs is listed on the second team, losing his starting position to junior Mike McClure. Jacobs was the 2012 Big South defensive player of the year and fought through injuries in 2011 to get 42 tackles, good for 4th on the squad.
Aramis Hillary will be the starting quarterback, with redshirt freshman Alex Ross winning the backup job over Cody Craig. Jeremy Height is the starter at running back with Marcus Whitener at backup. Niccolo Mastramatteo, who was a key contributor on special teams has won a starting spot at slot receiver.
