Johnsonville is the favorite to win Region 8-1A. Ten starters return on a high powered offense led by RB's Tushai Edwards and Brison Allison. The offensive and defensive lines are among the best in Class 1A football featuring 315 pound Shaquille Crouch and Dalton Coker. If Johnsonville can keep key players healthy, they could make a run at a state championship.
Rich's Thoughts
If there was a Mt. Rushmore in the Zone Nation, it would have Chuck Jordan, Jackie Hayes, Bill Tate and Lewis Lineberger. After taking Hartsville to the top of the mountain, he has had five winning seasons in seven years at Johnsonville. There's a lot of preseason hype around the Flashes, but coach Lineberger will keep his boys in check. It could be a special year in Flashes country.
