Former Coastal Carolina safety Marcus Lott is getting his shot at the National Football League. The New York Jets have signed the Union, SC native and has already joined the team in at training camp in Cortland, NY. Lott graduated from Coastal with a 3.86 GPA in middle school studies and was set to begin teaching at Loris Middle School, but he'll put those plans on hold as he tries to make the New York Jets roster.
Lott had 184 tackles and 5 interceptions in his Coastal Carolina football career. He spent time in mini-camps with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins following the NFL Draft. Lott becomes the 6th former CCU football player who is currently in an NFL training camp:
