The Georgia Bulldogs beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 6-5 in ten innings at Foley Field in Athens, Georgia on Saturday. Georgia's Joey Delmonico delivered an RBI single off Matt Price in the bottom of the tenth to win it. Murrells Inlet native Tanner English went 4-for-5 and scored two runs for the Gamecocks. The series is now tied at one game apiece. The rubber match is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday. The Gamecocks overall record falls to 38-13, 17-9 in the SEC.
The Clemson Tigers upset the number one ranked Florida State Seminoles 7-2 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina in the opener of a three game series. Spencer Kieboom hit a three-run homer to lead the Tigers. Clemson's overall record is now 30-20, 15-10 in the ACC.
The Winthrop Eagles defeated the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 6-5 at Watson Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. Chas Crane broke a 5-5 tie in the 6th with an RBI single. That proved to be the game-winner. Coastal Carolina's overall record falls to 34-16, 15-5 in the Big South Conference.
