  Carolina Forest improved to 20-2 with a 5-0 win over Ashley Ridge on Wednesday to claim a district title and reach the 4A state quarterfinals.  The Lady Panthers host White Knoll on Saturday night at 6pm.  The winner of that game will face the winner of Wando and Summerville on Monday.  Carolina Forest is three wins away from reaching the 4A state championship series.

  The team is led by two Division I commitments.  Marisa Runyon, a junior shortsop, has 21 home runs in her career and is on her way to SEC power Alabama. Caitlyn Hummel, a senior catcher, is on her way to Presbyterian.
