Boston College punter and North Myrtle Beach native Ryan Quigley is getting his opportunity to play in the NFL. Quigley signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears. Quigley will report to the Bears three day rookie mini-camp from May 10th through the 12th. He's expected to compete with another free agent over the three days with the winner of the competition getting an invte to the Bears summer training camp.
Quigley was a four year starter at Boston College handling the punting duties as well as kickoffs. He was a three time WPDE All-Zone selection at North Myrtle Beach High in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
He is the fifth player with local ties to get a free agent opportunity in the NFL:
