Two Florence high school football players signed national letters of intent to play football at Orangeburg Calhoun Prep Academy

South Florence's Tevon Johnson was a 2012 WPDE All Zone selection at wide receiver.  He was the third leading receiver in the area with 63 catches for 844 yards and 8 TD's.  He averaged 13.39 yards per catch.  Deas had four interceptions in the West Florence secondary.

Dexter Pope is the head coach at Calhoun Prep.  Last year, seven of his players signed to play college football out of the Orangeburg school.
