The South Carolina Warriors semi-pro basketball team opened the ABA playoffs with a 120-91 victory over the Carolina Cheetahs. Mike Vogler led seven different Warriors in double-figures with 20 points.

The Warriors win sets the stage for a Mid-Atlantic Championship playoff showdown at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 18 against the Lynchburg Legends. The game will be played at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center. The winner of the Warriors-Legends game advances to the quarter-finals of the Eastern Conference playoff bracket on March 24-25.

The Legends won their first round game 126-123 over the Richmond Elite. Under head coach Chris Beard, the Warriors have a record of 25-0.
