Low Country Day girls basketball team has won two straight SCISA basketball titles.

The Low Country Day Fighting Marlins defeated James Island Christian 50-42 to win the SCISA Girls Class A Basketball Champonship for a second straight year at the Sumter Civic Center. 

The Lady Marlins jumped out to a 10-0 lead over James Island Christian in a rematch of last years state title game. The Lady Lions out of Charleston, came back with a 14-4 run of thier own to tie it at 14.  An Elizabeth Zieser buzzer beater gave the Marlins a 22-20 lead at halftime.

Rachael Exum, Zieser and Leldon McClary each finished with 14 points apiece for Low Country Day as the Fighting Marlins pulled away in the final quarter. The victory highlighted a 15 game winning streak and capped off another title for the Pawleys Island private school. Low Country Prep finished with a 21-4 record. They return all 5 starters next season.
