Clemson opens ACC basketball schedule with a win

The Clemson Tigers defeated the Florida State Seminoles 79-59 at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina on Saturday afternoon. It was the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both schools.

7-foot-2 center Catalin Baciu came off the bench to spark the Tigers with nine points, five rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Clemson took control early with a 20-0 run in the first half and cruised the rest of the way.

Andre Young led Clemson in scoring with 18 points. Milton Jennings chipped in with 15 for the Tigers. Ian Miller was the top point producer for FSU with 16 tallies.

Clemson improved their record to 9-6 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. The Tigers will travel to Boston College for a 7 p.m. tip on Thursday, Jan. 12 against the Eagles.
