The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated the High Point Panthers 55-52 on Saturday night in North Carolina to end a two game losing skid. Chris Gradnigo led the way for CCU with 19 points.

Sam McLaurin added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Chants who improved their overall record to 10-3. CCU is now 3-0 in Big South Conference play.

Coastal nearly blew a 15 point second half lead. High Point exploded on a 14-0 run to pull within one, but the Panthers never could take a lead in the second half.

Coastal remains on the road for its second of three road games as they face Campbell on Monday, Jan. 2 in Buies Creek, N.C. Tip-off against the Camels is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
