Ray Tanner has consistently come to the Florence/Myrtle Beach area to bring key pieces to the South Carolina baseball program. Dillon pitcher and 3rd baseman Jamie Callahan has signed to play baseball for the Gamecocks. Callahan was named an Under Armour All-American playing in a national all star game at Wrigley Field in Chicago. In addition, he's listed as the 65th ranked prospect in Baseball Draft Reports Top 100 prospects for the 2012 MLB Draft. Callahan was a 2A All-State selection in 2010.

Callahan said he has talked to both Ray Tanner and assistant coach Chad Holbrook about the likelihood of being drafted this June and that he'll weigh all of his options in the summer.
