Creek Bridge head football coach Al Calcutt announced his resignation on Tuesday. Calcutt will remain athletic director and continue teaching classes through the end of the school year. The Warriors were 0-10 in 2011. Calcutt was 19-62 in eight years with the Warriors. During his eight years at Creek Bridge, Calcutt's best teams were in 2005 and 2006 when the Warriors won five games in each campaign, highlighted by two consecutive victories over Hemingway. They lost to Cross 16-12 in the 2006 1A playoffs, the only post-season appearance during the Calcutt era. Prior to Creek Bridge, he was the head coach at Georgetown High.
Calcutt coached two WPDE All-Zoners, WR Bobby Davis (2004,05) and RB Timothy Grant (2010).
