Eleven area high school football players have been chosen to play in the South Carolina North-South All-Star game on December 10th in Myrtle Beach. Kickoff is set for noon at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

North Carolina State commitment 6'5" Tyler Knox of Myrtle Beach High made the South All-Stars at defensive end. Knox has four and a half sacks and 16 tackles for loss his senior season.

270 pound defensive lineman Trey Vivan also made the team. So far, Vivian has three and a half sacks with 12 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

Conway offensive lineman Bernard Brooks is equally effective in both run and pass blocking. At 6'4" 280 pounds, he is a big reason why the Tigers offense is averaging more than 30 points a game.

Jarvez Holmes from Carolina Forest made the all-star team as a defensive back. Holmes is a two-way star for the Panthers. He has seven touchdown catches and four interceptions this season.

250 pound Georgetown defensive lineman Leeshawn Cromedy also made the North-South grade. He has 76 tackles with three sacks for the playoff-bound Bulldogs.

Marlboro County wide receiver and 2010 WPDE All-Zone selection Malik Ford has 32 catches for 367 yards and 3 TD's. Ford is also a dangerous return man for the Bulldogs.

East Clarendon quarterback Carlos Hickson has made the South team as a running back. Hickson has 159 carries for 1,407 yards and 17 TD's. He has 2,658 yards of total offense this season.

Dillon defensive back Kevin Lynch is a shutdown defensive back. He has two interceptions this season, including one for a touchdown, and is a hard hitting run stopper for the Wildcats defense that ranks number one in the state in least points allowed.

Another Dillon defensive player has made the North-South All-Stars. Archie Gilchrist has 52 tackles this season. The 6'1" 248 pound senior is the anchor of the "Nasty Cats" defensive line.

Hemingway running back LaMichael Pushia has run for 1,298 yards for the undefeated Tigers this season. He also has 20 touchdowns and averages 9.98 yards a carry.

Darlington's Christian Jett has been selected at the tight end position. Jett played both tight end and defensive end for the Falcons. He's a sack specialist but also an excellent blocker on the offensive line.
