Never mind that Tyler Howell does not have a driver's license. The 14-year old got behind the wheel of a race car and won the Charger division at Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville, South Carolina on Saturday night. The victory was Howell's first of the season.

"Blaze" Howell took the lead on lap 12 and took the checkers in the 25 lap event. He beat out six other drivers including track championWayne Locklair.  Howell is a junior high school student at The Byrnes Schools. He won the Young Guns Championship in 2010.

Howell will attempt to qualify for the late model race, the Myrtle Beach 400, at Myrtle Beach Speedway in mid-November. He is getting plenty of seat time running at Timmonsville and Dillon this season.
