The majority of the allegations are centered around impermissable benefits at the Whitney Hotel in Columbia in 2010 that totaled an estimated $47,000.  There are $8,000 in improper benefits as a result of the Student Athlete Mentor Foundation.

The University has until December 14th to respond to each of the allegations.  The NCAA's Committee of Infractions is scheduled to meet face to face with South Carolina on February 17th and 18th in Los Angeles.  In the letter, the NCAA has requested the following people to attend in addition to Pastides and athletic director Eric Hyman:

Steve Spurrier, head football coach

G.A. Mangus, assistant football coach

Mike Boynton, assistant men's basketball coach

Curtis Frye, head men's and women's track coach
