Clemson knocked off defending national champion Auburn 38-24

The Clemson Tigers defeated the #21 Auburn Tigers 38-24 on Saturday at Death Valley. The Clemson victory ended the nation's longest win streak at 17. Clemson improves to 3-0 for the first time since 2007.

Clemson trailed 21-7 in the second quarter but rallied behind the arm of Tajh Boyd. Boyd completed 30 of 42 passes for 386 yards and four TD's. Sammy Watkins had 10 catches for 155 yards and two scores. Cheraw native Jaron Brown, a former WPDE All-Zone selection made two catches for 22 yards. Clemson racked up 624 yards of total offense.

On defense for Clemson, three more ex-WPDE All-Zoners had solid performances. Loris High product Jonathan Willard and Lake View's Quandon Christian each had five tackles. West Florence grad Malliciah Goodman made three stops.

Clemson will host Florida State next Saturday, September 24. Game time has not been established.
