HEMINGWAY
Hags Thoughts
I love watching the Tigers play. I can't believe they have not won a state championship yet. Defensive coordinator Marty Avant crafted the best defense in the area last year in points allowed. On offense, the Cats can light up the scoreboard with unmatched speed on the 1A level. If they can stay healthy, Hemingway wins it all. That's my prediction.
Rich's Thoughts
I'm not going to say that this is the year. I don't want everyone in Hemingway to give me dirty looks and accuse me of being a jinx if it doesn't happen. But read between the lines. That defense is flat out nasty. They are hungry enough and have more than enough experience to push through to Orangeburg. Hemingway should get their first Zoneman Finalist this year with either LaMichael Pushia or Jabril Solomon. Just like Dillon, two Zoneman candidates who will probably split votes.
