Two-time champion Surfside Beach lost 2-1 to Beaufort on Monday morning to complete a rain-delayed contest in the winner's bracket at the Dixie Boys World Series

Surfside Beach was leading 1-0 in the third inning when heavy rain halted play Sunday night in Beaufort, South Carolina. Beaufort rallied for two runs when play resumed and won the game in walk-off fashion. It was the first loss of the season for Surfside, leaving them with a record of 11-1 in all-star competition.

Surfside Beach will play an elimination game against Opelika, Alabama at 8 p.m.
