Bryce McCord hit a pair of two-run homers to lead Surfside Beach to a 9-5 opening round win over Troup County, Georgia at the Dixie Boys World Series on Saturday in Beaufort, South Carolina. Surfside Beach advances to a winner's bracket game Sunday night at 7 p.m. against host Beaufort.
Surfside Beach has won all eleven of their games this season. They defeated Beaufort two times in last year's state tournament on the way to their second Dixie World Series title.
