It only took Loris Athletic Director Barry Brooks four days to fill the vacant head football post at his school. The Lions are promoting from within, giving offensive coordinator Jamie Snider the head coaching job. Snider came to Loris in 2010 after seven seasons at Coastal Carolina. Snider has extensive college coaching experience starting at Catawba and then with the Chanticleers where he was offensive coordinator as well as working with the offensive line during his tenure at CCU.
Snider replaces Jim Longerbeam, who accepted a head coaching job at Bay High in Panama City, Florida. Loris is coming off a 7-4 season that saw the Lions make the 2A playoffs where they lost in the first round to Lake City.
