Former Myrtle Beach Pelican Brian McCann launched a three run homer in the 10th inning to give the Atlanta Braves a 6-3 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.  Hartsville native Jordan Lyles had a solid effort in a no decision in his third major league start.  Lyles pitched into the seventh inning giving up two earned runs and striking out five.

Lyles surrendered base hits to the first two batters in both the first and second innings, but was able to work out of both jams giving up no runs.  Lyles gave up an RBI double to Chipper Jones and a solo homer to Eric Hinske, the first long ball he has given up in three starts.  He left the game in the seventh inning with one out and the game tied at 2.

"Jordan did a really good job of working out of some jams in the first couple of innings," Houston manager Brad Mills said. "That was huge to see. That really goes back to his demeanor and him not getting too out of control. He was able to stop the damage tonight."  Recap: Braves 6 Astros 3

Lyles has a 4.15 through his first three MLB starts.  With Wandy Rodriguez set to come off of the disabled list on Monday, the Astros will decide if they will keep Lyles in the rotation or send him back down to AAA Oklahoma City.
