On Monday, Dustin Johnson made local headlines when he was named a spokesman for Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. Just one day later, Johnson was back in the national headlines with the announcement that he's parting ways with his caddie, Bobby Brown. Brown has been in the spotlight for three incidents in Johnson's career:
#1: Johnson shooting an 82 in the 4th round of the 2010 US Open after leading through 54 holes
#2: The infamous bunker penalty on the 72nd hold of the PGA Championship in 2010 at Whistling Straits
#3: Johnson showing up late for a tee time at Riviera this year, costing him a two stroke penalty
Johnson leaves this Saturday for South Korea and says he will have a friend who is more than qualified to be on his bag. From there, he will audition someone to be his caddy for the rest of the 2011 season. In the national articles below, Johnson and Brown maintain they will continue to have a close relationship.
