South Carolina Gamecocks head football coach Steve Spurrier has had his contract with the school amended for the final three years of his deal. The revision means Spurrier will see a pay increase of around $800,000 this year.

According to the University, Spurrier will receive a salary of $2,800,000 in 2011, $2,875,000 in 2012 and $2,950 in 2013. The Old Ball Coach signed a seven year contract with the school that originally ran through 2011. It has been extended twice before.

Spurrier guided the Gamecocks to a 9-5 record last season and the school's first ever appearance in the SEC Championship game.

In addition, South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley's contract was extended for three years through the 2015-16 season. Staley led the Lady Gamecocks to the second round of the Women's NIT last season.
