Two Florence Football Players Commit to Coastal Carolina

Wide receiver John Israel out of Wilson High has given a verbal commitment to play at Coastal Carolina next fall. Israel was a WPDE All-Zone selection after catching 23 passes for more than 500 yards and three touchdowns his senior season. He's a 6'1"  190 pound receiver who averaged more than 23 yards a reception.

In addition, West Florence center Michael Quick is also bound for Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers intend to use the 6'1" 200 pound Quick as their long snapper.

National Signing Day is scheduled for Wednesday February 2nd. WPDE NewsChannel 15 will air a Signing Day Special at 7:30 p.m. with a focus on all local signees along with Clemson, South Carolina and Coastal Carolina's new recruiting classes.
