2003 WPDE Zoneman winner Lawrence Timmons from Wilson High in Florence will play in the Super Bowl for the second time in three years. The Pittsburgh linebacker led the Steelers defense with ten tackles and broke up a pass in a 24-19 victory over the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
The Steelers will play the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV on February 6th at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Timmons played on Pittsburgh's most recent Super Bowl championship team when they beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. He is the team's leading tackler this season and is fourth in the entire NFL in that category.
