(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says offensive coordinator Billy Napier and running backs coach Andre Powell won't be back with the Tigers.

Napier, who is 31, had been the youngest offensive coordinator in the Football Bowl Subdivision when he was elevated to the position last season. However, Clemson struggled on offense this season as it finished 6-7, its first losing season since 1998. Napier had spent the past five seasons with the Tigers. Powell was also in charge of special teams. He had been atClemson since 2007.

Swinney thanked his coaches and said it was difficult deciding to let Napier and Powell go. However, he said the Tigers had to improve offensively and this was best for the program's improvement.
