The Spring Valley Vikings won the Holiday Invitational girls high school basketball tournament in Myrtle Beach on Thursday. The Lady Vikings beat the Troy Warriors from Fullerton, California 53-42 in the title game.
Spring Valley was led by Asia Dozier with 17 points. She was named touranment MVP. Xylina McDaniel, daughter of NBA great Xavier McDaniel scored 14. Spring Valley is the first team from South Carolina in 10 years to win the Holiday Invitational. The Lady Vikings are now 13-0 on the season.
Khadijah Sessions from Myrtle Beach High was the only area player to make the all-tournament team.
