The Saint James Sharks boys basketball team won the Panther Classic with a 58-54 win over Conway on Wednesday night at Carolina Forest High School. Sharks senior guard Marshall McClary scored a game-high 25 points to cap off the 3-day tournament in impressive fashion.
The Clover High Blue Eagles swept both the boys and girls tournament championships at the Shootout by the Sea at North Myrtle Beach High School. In the boys title game, Aaron Miller led Clover with 21 points and was named tournament MVP in a 57-54 win over the host North Myrtle Beach Chiefs. For North Myrtle Beach, Jaquan Grissett had 14 points and Roderick Hemingway added 12.
In the Shootout by the Sea girls tournament final, Clover beat Darlington 61-47. Clover's Bria Huffman was named tournament MVP following a 23 point performance. For Darlington, Jazz Green was their top scorer with 19 points.
