(AP) -- CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Desmond Holloway had a career-high 25 points, including two foul shots with 1:01 left in double overtime that lifted Coastal Carolina to a 79-75 victory over Charlotte at the Charleston Classic on Sunday.
The Chanticleers (4-2) trailed 57-50 with 4 minutes to go when they rallied with a 12-5 run down the stretch. The spurt was capped by Kierre Greenwood's game-tying 3-pointer with 8 seconds left.
Holloway had 8 points in the two extra periods as Coastal Carolina took fifth place at 2-1 in the eight-team tournament. Charlotte (2-3) held its final lead on Derrio Green's two free throws with 1:14 remaining.
Trailing 77-75, Charlotte had a final chance. But they missed three field goals on two 3-pointers by Green and a jumper by An'Juan Wilderness. Shamari Spears had 22 points to lead Charlotte, which went 1-2 at the tournament.
