West Florence loses in OT on Thursday night

The West Florence Knights squandered a 10-0 haltime lead to lose to Lugoff-Elgin 17-10 in overtime on Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.  The Knights drop to 4-5 on the season, 1-2 in region play. 

West Florence got on the board in the second quarter with an Alex Howell 28 yards field goal.  Then with 9 seconds to go in the half, Eddie McKenzie cashed in from short range to give the Knights at 10-0 lead. 

The Demons came back in the second half to even the score and then win it in overtime.  Lugoff-Elgin is now 3-6, 2-1 in region play.   The Demons host South Florence next Friday.
