The South Carolina Gamecocks football team may have lost Freshman sensation Marcus Lattimore for at least one game. Lattimore hurt his ankle in the first half of the Gamecocks 31-28 loss to Kentucky on Saturday.

Lattimore says he will be ready to run on the ankle by mid-week. But Gamecocks Head Coach Steve Spurrier says he will likely hold Lattimore out of this weekend's game at Vanderbilt.

Lattimore had 212 yards of total offense and scored three touchdowns but spent most of the second half of the Kentucky game on the sidelines. If Lattimore can't go this week, Spurrier has indicated that sophomore Kenny Miles, who led the Gamecocks in rushing last season, would fill in at tailback.
