Surfside Junior Dixie wins again at World Series

The Surfside Beach Junior Dixie 13-under All-Star baseball team beat Troy, Alabama 4-3 Sunday night in the second round of the Dixie World Series. Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th inning, Finn Melko belted a two-run double to plate the tying and go-ahead runs for Surfside Beach.

Surfside Beach scored two other runs on a pair of triples by Tyler Dillon. Surfside Beach has won their first two games in this twelve team tournament. They have earned a bye in Monday's afternoon session. The Surfside Stars will play the winner of the Mississippi-Florida game at 9pm (EST) Monday August 2nd.
