Florence Post 1 beat Murrells Inlet Post 178 Saturday night 9-8 at Legion Field in Florence. Florence Post 1 wins the American Legion second round series three games to two. After losing the first two games of the series, Post 1 (27-5) rallied to win the final three games and clinch their sixth straight trip to the state tournament.
Post 1 will play Gaffney on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Columbia. Murrells Inlet Post 178 is still alive. The Tides will play Sunday's Hartsville/Goose Creek winner on Monday in a state tournament play-in game.
