CLEMSON 14 BOSTON COLLEGE 9
The 10th ranked Clemson Tigers scored eight runs in the eighth inning to win a 14-9 slugfest over the Boston College Eagles on Sunday before a crowd of 3,925 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. John Hinson led the Tigers going 3-for-5 with three RBI and three stolen bases. Clemson won the series over Boston College 2-1. The Tigers overall record improves to 20-8 and 9-3 in the ACC. Clemson will play a home-and -home midweek series against Georgia starting Tuesday in Athens at 7:00 p.m.
SOUTH CAROLINA 14 MISSISSIPPI STATE 2
The South Carolina Gamecocks pounded Mississippi State 14-2 on Sunday at Carolina Stadium in Columbia before 5,576 fans. Parker Bangs and Adrian Morales each homered and drove in three runs for the Gamecocks. South Carolina took two out of three from the Bulldogs to win the series and improve their overall record to 22-6 and 7-2 in the SEC. The Gamecocks are tied for first place in the Eastern Division of the SEC with Florida. South Carolina will host the College of Charleston on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
