The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers finished their first week of spring football with a two and a half hour workout. The Chants scrimmaged for about one hour. Quarterback Zach MacDowall led the first team offense while Jamie Childers guided the second team.

The defensive units dominated the scrimmage with three interceptions that were returned for touchdowns, including one by walk-on defensive back Tyler McCarthy.

CCU will take next week off for spring break and return to the practice field for ten more workouts finishing spring training camp with the annual Black & Teal game April 10th at Brooks Stadium.
